April–May and November are when many brochures go quiet. Parks are greener, rates softer, and you will share a sighting with two cars instead of twelve.
Roads can be slow. We build extra hours and we choose lodges with all-weather access. The reward is birdlife, dramatic light and the feeling that the country is yours.
If you only have a summer school holiday, come then — we know those camps too. If you can travel in November, tell us. We will be honest about which parks still work.
