Family safari without the fuss

Window seats, picnic timing, and why we quote a private vehicle the moment children are on the manifest.

Friends Life Adventure · February 2026

Shared trucks and children are a poor mix. A private 4x4 means you can turn around for the bathroom, linger at a hyena den, and skip the 5 a.m. start when someone had a bad night.

We plan a rest afternoon every three days, a hotel with a pool after a dusty park, and at least one cultural visit that is not a performance — a school or a farm, arranged with people we actually know.

Most lodges accept children; crater rims and gorilla treks have minimum ages. Tell us ages at first enquiry so we do not design a trip you cannot take.

Dates, pace, lodges or tents, gorillas or wildebeest — write a few lines. A trip designer in Nairobi replies, usually within a day.
