Over the Mara or Serengeti at sunrise you hear the burners and then nothing. Herds become pattern. It is expensive because the logistics are expensive — chase crews, permits, weather delays.
We recommend it if this is a once-in-a-decade trip and the forecast is stable. We talk you out of it if you are already stretching the lodge budget, or if you get airsick in a Cessna.
